Spell/Prayer Said in the Car During Another Day of Abductions

Dear God - whatever protection you have...!

To my Ancestors… any of you who ever escaped, those among you who ever got lucky enough to walk away: please clear a path- please clear a thousand paths- for those who would be, will be, have been taken. Dear ancestors, if you ever gave what you couldn’t afford, if you ever extended a hand away from comfort to take on risk: please guide those of us who have means and ways to facilitate freedom. 

Dear relatives: I apologize for all the times I did not see you. I am looking now; I cannot stop looking. I see you. We will find you.

To the elements: Fire, light the path towards justice. Burn away cowardice and shame. Earth, feed the seeds of wisdom. Hold us when we cannot hold each other; teach us to feed and be fed. Air, move move move us! Shock our lungs! Deliver us into the storms we need! Water please carry us. Please carry us back to our own level, to ourselves and each other. Sweep us, spin us, drag us, DELIVER US home.
